Located in the heart of Cozume’s shopping area, is the only place in all the Caribbean were you can swim with dolphins during in the safety of still ocean coves. Experience the excitement of riding on a dolphin belly in our unique “Dolphin Swim & Ride” program. Your adventure begins with a short taxi ride to Dolphinaris. Before entering the water you will enjoy a Dolphin behavioral presentation where you will be introduced to some of the extraordinary dolphins behavior. The first part of program is conducted on a waist deep water submerged platform. Enjoy a 30min ferry ride from Cozumel to the Mayan Riviera where you will meet your guide, who will travel with you to Akumal Bay Resort.  Akumal's pristine waters are 12 feet deep and are protected by a shallow barrier reef giving you the opportunity to be as close as 2-3 feet away from the up to 3ft long Sea Turtles. The turtles enter the Bay daily to feed on sea grass and are peaceful and friendly.  The snorkel is about 50min long where you will also have the opportunity to discover the abundant marine life encountered at the nearby reef, from Manta rays to large schools of fish. After aprox. 45min snorkelling, enjoy a lunch buffet and an open bar at our one mile long white sandy beach facilities. Cozumel has long been home to the Mayan people, dating back over 1000 years when it was an important stop in the ancient trade routes as well as the center of worship for the Goddess of Fertility, Ixchel.  Descendants of these first inhabitants have populated the island since then, and many of their ancient traditions remain strong even today. During your visit to the Mayan Village you will see traditional, thatched-roof Mayan houses, medicinal gardens, cooking techniques, and ceremonies as well as learn about the myths, histories and beliefs of the Mayan World.  After your tour of the village, you will travel across the island to the eastern shore for stunning views of the island’s undeveloped coastline.
