We wanted to set a new standard for the cruise industry.
As our first LNG-propelled new cruise ship, MSC World Europa is a huge step forward in that mission. This next-generation power hugely reduces emissions and marks a milestone on our journey to zero emissions operations. Her state-of-the-art design also includes the latest water recycling technology, to purify wastewater, and propellers studied to reduce the underwater noise in respect of marine wildlife.

LNG-powered
MSC World Europa is the first LNG-propelled ship in the MSC Cruises fleet and features a new generation wastewater treatment system, as well other cutting-edge environmental technology: another significant step forward in MSC’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
MSC World Europa features breakthrough green technologies and brings MSC’s fleet a lot closer to the ultimate goal of “zero emissions operations”.
The LNG-powered engines ensure:

A striking futuristic silhouette cutting through the water with ease and grace shaped like an arrow with her signature plumb bow and never seen before Y-shaped aft opens onto the impressive 104-metre-long Europa Promenade with breath-taking ocean views. Half open to the sky and half-covered by an imposing LED-sky screen, the screen will feature tailor-made displays throughout the day.
One of the key features of the completely re-imagined ship promenade is The Venom Drop @ The Spiral - a striking architectural centrepiece in the form of a dry slide spanning 11 decks - the longest at sea! This innovative shape of the ship is not only a pleasure to look at but also provides immense functionality benefits to enhance guests’ experience on board.

There’s something for everyone on board MSC World Europa, from the largest waterpark in our fleet, to bumper cars, and our new surprise street performances. And with 7 swimming pools spread across the ship, including one with a sliding roof, there’s always space to relax by the water and pool deck.
For families with children, the award-winning MSC kids club features state-of-the-art facilities inside a dedicated area of the ship, with a range of kids’ clubs and tailor-made programs for every age group.

The ship will feature 13 dining venues, including an incredible six speciality restaurants, between which the Chef’s Garden Kitchen of Michelin-starred chef Niklas Ekstedt, that offers a menu which focus on the natural ingredients and a farm-to-ocean ethos. Guests also have the opportunity to discover three ample restaurant-buffets on board, each offering their distinct ambiance, including a brand-new location open 24/7.

The Chef’s Garden Kitchen’s promises fresh and seasonal flavours, taking its cues from nature. Born in Sweden, the son of a produce seller, Niklas Ekstedt began his strong connection with nature and the Earth’s flavours at a young age. Modernising cuisine with art not technology, Ekstedt combines traditional Nordic cooking and preserving techniques with astonishingly creative combinations of rigorously fresh seasonal ingredients.

The Masters of the Sea pub has long been a favourite spot to grab a quick bite and to delight in the extensive beer list, but this will be the first time that it features an onboard brewery. Award-winning brewmaster Teo Musso, who created the Baladin Farm Brewery, has worked with MSC Cruises to create a bespoke range of MSC signature craft beers that will be brewed at sea in the ship’s full-scale micro-brewery.
