MSC & MAREVIVO
Marevivo is an Italian marine conservation association founded in 1985 that works worldwide, supported by a scientific commission, legal commission, territorial delegations, a diving division and an extensive network of volunteers and members.
Marevivo works for biodiversity conservation, sustainable development and the enhancement and promotion of
marine protected areas, combating pollution and illegal fishing while promoting environmental education. Marevivo’s activities aim to secure the commitment of institutions and mobilise public and media opinion and involvement in support of the precious common asset that is our sea.
MSC Cruises and Marevivo joined forces in 2015 to inspire young people with a passion for the sea and to disseminate a culture of sustainability inside and outside the classroom. Underlying the project is the conviction that long-term care for the environment can only start with tomorrow’s generations and should therefore be focused on the schoolchildren who will be future “guardian dolphins”, monitoring and watching over the sea to ensure it is respected by all.
